The National Certificate in Banking Services Advice qualification aims to provide students with the basic competencies and skills necessary to apply the essential principles of banking to the operations of any segment of financial services in the Banking sector. The programme also aims to equip students with the knowledge and relevant skills to comply with the requirements of the regulations under the FAIS Act and so enable them to offer financial advice to clients in the banking sector.
The National Certificate in Banking Services Advice appears on the Financial Services Board’s (FSB) list of recognised qualifications for FAIS Fit and Proper purposes. In terms of this rating, the qualification is considered to be relevant to all product categories as a generic (G) qualification.
The National Certificate in Banking Services Advice is offered at NQF Level 5 and is delivered via Contact and Distance Learning.
