About the Programme

This qualification is designed for candidates needing full qualifications to meet FAIS requirements, new entrants to the insurance or financial planning industry, and those seeking the FSA® designation awarded by the FPI Institute.

The Advanced Certificate in Financial Planning equips students with the knowledge and skills needed by expert practitioners in the financial planning sector. It prepares them for further studies and accommodates those already employed in the field. Graduates gain essential skills, knowledge, and attitudes for employment and advancement in financial planning.

Milpark, an FPI-accredited education provider, offers this program, which meets the academic requirements for the Financial Services Advisor® (FSA®) designation. Additionally, experienced individuals may progress to an NQF Level 8 postgraduate qualification in financial planning, with the postgraduate diploma serving as the educational requirement for the Certified Financial Planner® designation awarded by the Financial Planning Institute of Southern Africa.

  • The Milpark Education Higher Certificate in Financial Planning (at NQF Level 5); or 
  • A National Certificate in Wealth Management or another relevant accredited NQF Level 5 qualification; or 
  • An appropriate, accredited Bachelor’s degree.
